Should I choose Linux or Windows?

Here is the easiest way to answer this question:

If your website requires one of the following technologies in order to run:
  1. MS SQL
  2. ASP or ASP.NET
  3. MS Access
Then you need a Windows hosting account. We recommend that you check with your developer/designer if the above features are required, and if they are NOT then we recommend our Linux web hosting plans which are better optimized and more economical due to the nature of the Linux operating system. All other features offered between our Windows and Linux accounts are basically the same.

Also note, that regardless of whether at home or at your office you are using a Windows based PC, a Mac, or simply a tablet, you can host your website on a Linux account as long as you do not need the above 3 mention technologies.
